Each of our children are allocated a ‘key person’ when they start the nursery within their room, their key person will learn all about your child through an all about me and conversation with parents/carers, thinking about interests, likes and dislikes, important information such as allergies and looking at the What to expect when document for their current development.

Each key person will complete observations and summative assessments for each of their key children and collate these into individual learning journeys personal to each child, these will then be shared with parents/carers during assessment meetings and can be viewed on request at any point during their child’s journey through the nursery. Once a child moves rooms they will be allocated a new key person within their new room who will have a detailed conversation with their current key person and visits into their new room to enable them to familiarise themselves with the new environment, children and staff. The learning journey will be given to parents once their child’s journey with us has ended as a keepsake of their early years.
